Typical MP3 file size: A 4-minute song at 192 kbps: ~5.5 MB; at 320 kbps: ~9.2 MB. Typical WAV file size: A 4-minute song at 44.1 kHz/16-bit stereo: ~40 MB. The WAV output will be larger than the MP3 input because lossless compression cannot match the compression ratios of lossy formats.
